Message	with ATA66. interface doesnt mean squat. A nice fast hd will not manage over 17mb/sec sustained transfer rates anyway. Get the 7200rpm if performance means anything to you. areal density:rpm as spindle speed:torque no HP without both... 7200 RPM isnt too noisy and maxtors are not only not noisy, but you can get a utility from thier website for best performance noise be damned all the way to shut the hell up hd. pretty cool.
